Access Issue: Working Timberland Details
April 19, 2017: Weekday access to the Gold Bar boulders has now reopened following a temporary closure to ensure public safety during harvest activities associated with the Dyno timber sale. In partnership with Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition, DNR preserved access to much of the road network hikers and climbers use to access the Gold Bar boulders. Start on a good hold and move left to a better hold. Go high to a good hold on the lip, then reach up with the left to a better hold and mantle. Voila. Still needs a bit of cleaning (I'm not quite tall enough to get it all).
