Turning Formosa is the first route in the second cluster of routes up the canyon. It is fairly long with a tricky crux near the top.

The late crux means that if you rely heavily on your hands in the early part of the climb, it will feel a lot harder than the actual rating. Use those feet, and save your arm strength for the top. May 6, 2015

Great climb. The first bolt is about 15 feet off the ground, but easy to get to. As of this writing (climbed yesterday), the locking ovals on the chains are getting dangerously worn out (that and the high bolt are why I'm giving it the pg-13). If you want to climb this and have a couple spare ovals, think about replacing the old gear, you might save a life. Jun 11, 2018
