Old camhook?

I picked up some gear and this was in it. I’m assuming it’s some sort of cam hook. Anyone know who made it and when it would have been made? |

Whoa. That's pretty dang cool. I bet it would work pretty nicely in a wide variety of pin scars. |

I have one of those. Trying to remember who made it. Yes, it is a cam hook. Very cool piece of gear! |

Makes me feel like something Forrest would have made, but that is just a wild guess based on the design. Maybe someone can find a few older catalogs and see if it’s in there. |

No, I was thinking of Forrest Mountaineering, started by Bill Forrest. The shape and design just feels reminiscent of their Titons and Foxheads and the aesthetic of the way they designed gear. But it’s a total guess without any basis. Someone a generation or two older would have a better idea. Interesting read below though: |
