Unsure how to change date ranges on Mount Whitney application

Hi!

I sent in an application for the 2025 Mount Whitney lottery this month. I would like to change a couple of the date ranges I put on my application. I’m a bit confused because the fs.usda.gov website says I need to contact the Inyo National Forest permit office to withdraw my application and then reapply with the adjusted dates, but recreation.gov’s website allows me to login and change the dates online and resubmit through my account. I called recreation.gov and they said I can change the dates only on my application online as long as I do it before the deadline in the beginning of March, but I just want to make sure that is the proper way to do it since the Inyo National Forest website says otherwise. I also tried to contact the permit office but no luck getting through to anybody.
