Can I merge an old account with my current active one?

I had an account many years ago after climbingboulder.com evolved:morphed into MP.  I started my current account in the last year or so and I can see the old account has been inactive for a long time but it would be cool to merge the two, if possible.

Just curious…..  thanks!

Bump because I have a similar issue. My accounts got unlinked a few years ago and I can access my old one from mobile and new one from PC. My old account was linked to my facebook which still exists and you can still see my old account on here and the updated tick list i keep on here.

Yes, we can definitely do this. Please email or message me through MP with a URL for your old/other account and indicate which account you want to continue to use and which you'd like to merge info from (which will then get deleted).

One thing to keep in mind, for security purposes, we have to verify access to any account you're requesting info be merged from. If you don't have access to that old/other account, either through the site or app, this can be tricky. But sometimes we can get creative.

I'll keep an eye out!

Hey Zander,

I sent you a message through MP a few days ago. Let me know if you got it or what else you need from me.

Hey Thomas,

Would you mind checking your spam folder for my reply on 9/19? Probably came from zander@adventureprojects.net.

I don’t have access to my old account, it’s been 18 years since it was active.  If you read my old account profile, it says I’m a 28 year old stay at home dad …. Which was my profile on climbingboulder.com before it transitioned to MountainProject many years ago.
no big deal, we don’t have to merge the old account as it’s kind of cool to look back at route descriptions I put up in 2000 that are still there today.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
