Linking MP and OnX Accounts

After reading all the ranting in the other thread (in the Discuss MP forum) about OnX wanting us to link our MP accounts, how can I tell if I've already done this? In particular I have an OnX Offroad account and the app. I do not know if that is linked to my MP account.

You should be able to check this by editing your MP profile, but you can also see this in the tick map on your profile page.

MP already seems like it's kinda losing users. I'd just leave rather than make some new onx account

I fail to see the problem with an onX account. What's the big deal?

For the better part of a year, I haven’t been getting notifications from MP.  I haven’t received emails or on-site notifications regarding posts on threads I’ve been following. I haven’t received emails when I’ve sent personal messages after checking the box to receive a copy. And I haven’t received any personal messages. I checked my account status, and I recently linked my MP account with onX, but doing so didn’t change anything. Someone please fix this problem!

Hi George,

Happy to help with this. The first thing to confirm is that you have access to the email account you used to set up your MP account. To do this, click you user icon in the upper-right corner and select Account Settings. Look to the right column for the Email Address field. If you have access to that email account, it's worth checking your spam folder and settings in case messages through the MP Contact feature are getting filtered incorrectly when they land in your email inbox.

I did email you. Haven’t received a response.

The last notification/message I received from MP was on February 26. MP is NOT a blocked contact. Everything looks correct in my MP Account Settings.

Would you check spam for an email from me (zander@adventureprojects.net) on July 18th? I also sent you a direct Contact message through your MP profile, which it sounds like also didn't make it to your inbox. 

Do you have another email address you could use instead of the current one? (Feel free to reply via email.)

I just found your email of July 18. I followed your instructions and hit the link, which took me to your page, where I hit the “Contact” button and then sent you a personal message. I checked the “Send a copy to me” box before pressing the “Send” button. As with all such personal messages that I’ve sent since February 26, I haven’t received a copy of the personal message that I sent. Btw I do have another email address, although I rarely use it. I could start using it if that’s a workable solution. 

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
