Camping/ Lodging in Red Rocks

I am planning to come out to the canyon this winter, and am debating whether I should fly or drive out. The benefit of driving out is that I could camp in my car, but if I fly out, I am wondering what the cheapest/ most efficient camping and lodging is in the area. Thanks.
