So, we can thank this person (apologies if already posted).

“Landowner liability concerns reached new heights in 2019, when a federal court upheld a $7.3 million verdict awarded to a Colorado Springs mountain biker who crashed on a washed-out trail on the U.S. Air Force Academy property. That set a precedent for private landowners to close several popular hiking destinations…”

Except none of the 14ers are closed. One just needs to pay for access.

Agreed, I could have been more clear.  By “Thank”, I meant we can thank that mtb’er for trail closures in general.  I didn’t mean we could thank them for this girls Strava drama.  And this 14er closure might have nothing to do with liability.  It might have to do with reasons discussed in exposes about it.

No you can thank a corrupt liability system.

I’ll give you that, if you’ll give me that the mtb’er had a choice.  I probably could have sued Boulder County for a life altering injury due to what I consider to be dangerous trail design.  But I didn’t.

Jim T you demonstrate integrity and honor in every post. I would THINK NOT!!! I'd look down on any fucker that sues a landowner for an injury sustained while trespassing. Outrageous. I agree, the mountain biker had a choice.

I paid to hike Culebra the first weekend it opened like 15 years ago (was only$100 back then). Who cares, people pay $75,000 to climb Everest. And many of you run up a $150 bar tab every Friday night.

with $150 approach shoes on their feet, and not to mention the patagucci puffy

Pissing about $150 to complete the list, and ignoring all the $Petro it took to do the others, seems so simple minded it's breathtaking.
