Adding friends

I could see this as being amazingly controversial. No desire at all to turn this into a social media platform....but.... I have some people I am friends with that want to do route A and it just happens that I want to do route A. If I could look at my friends To-do lists and see what routes we both want to do it would make setting up climbing trips a little easier. If Joe and I both want to do Lurking Fear, I can imagine in talks with Joe our desire to do that would make it easier to setup the climb. I also think it would incentivise people to use todo lists, maybe make use of the whole site more, adding better descriptions, pictures, more routes.....

You can also look at their to-do. Go to their profile.

Why I wrote kinda a disclaimer. But in setting up a trip I had a bookmark to a friends page, looked at his todo's, saw what we had todo in common and then setup the trip. This would make life easier, however, I could see the negatives......

Pretty sure Kevin was actually just saying you’re extremely lazy…

Your probably right, I was also demonstrating I was a smartass, but 2 times a week this is a feature that could save time and if the website had an API I would code it.

Added benefit is that you get to unfriend people!

When looking at somebody else's To-Do list it already highlights which routes are also on your To-Do list. If It's unclear if you don't know this or if you're looking for something else.

I know all this is possible (modifying a todo list is not really a challenge) but its time consuming when you have 12+ belay partners. Also lets change "friends" to belay partners and it would be great if somehow we could just link todo lists, I don't care about other shit.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
