So I am ignorant in early climbing era. . instead of saying 100% not true. post feedback so I can learn. my climbimg days pretty much started at age 9.when I could belay my 200lb father. Educate me. I have never said I know everything about climbing I barley know the name Harding. on the contrary my first climbing boots were a heavy thick hiking boot. something not fun on a face. If my father knew of EBs before then, then I bet he would have bought them for us.  So this was MY reality. Teach me; Dont Condemn me. and in return I will Respect U.
