Moving to Chattanooga

Hey all! 

I've been climbing in the Northern California region for about two years now, but I'm following the wife to Chattanooga for her nursing program starting August 15th. I work remotely and at night, so I'm going to have a boatload of time on my hands and wanted to start searching for new climbing partners! I'm most motivated to improve my trad and crack skills, but I'd be psyched to climb whatever really. I lead low 5.10 on gear and am theoretically working on RP'ing 5.12 on bolts currently were I to actually pick a project.

Very down for trips to RRG, Stone Mountain (I love some runout slab), and whatever other cool places are within a few hundred miles. Outside of climbing, some of my interests include MMA (I'm a professional fighter and write about the sport for my actual income), alternative music, and my cats. 

If there's any specific local ethics besides the obvious, please fill me in! 

I'm looking to project some 12- sport climbs around Chatt in the fall. Also down for trips to the Obed. I can only climb on the weekends though. Shoot me a message if you're interested.

Hey Mason! We’re in the process of locking down a studio, so for now at least, thinking it’s just us. Would be cool to climb with fellow newcomers though!

BJJ Black Belt, climb in Chatt and surrounding states pretty much every weekend, fed holidays, and random days I take off. Feel free to reach out if you need to look for a partner for some easier stuff or come to nashville and want to train!

Pull over to let faster drivers pass on River Canyon Road. Local climbers might cuss you, local yokels might smash your windows in.

Also, pretty much nobody who's actually from here calls it "Chatt."
