Hey! I'm in the bay area and trying to get out to mickey's for some climbing. I'm around most days so hit me up! Been leading 10's / some 11's but i'm willing to belay on anything!

Also looking for mickeys beach partners. just started going there last week and am working on some climbs at the main rock. I'm on paternity leave and prefer going midweek. I can go any day this week except Thursday. Let me know.

just fyi guys, there was a post recently about loose bolts at Mickeys.  See if you can find it before you go!  : )

Not sure what Eric is referencing but we noticed yesterday that one of the anchor bolts on Sex Porpoises is loose (it's a glue in, yikes!) but the other one looks solid and all the lead bolts looked good. Careful when cleaning!

FYI those spinning bolts are (almost certainly) fine. Read Jimi's comment on "Nancy" if you want confirmation.

Huh, interesting, I'm curious of the mechanics of a glue in that can spin, but the man certainly knows more about bolts than I do so I'll take his word for it.

Glue doesn't really stick to bolts, only the rock. The threads on these are symmetrical so there's nothing to stop it from spinning. Though I believe this photo is actually the "fixed" version of the bolt because you can see the tip has a flat spot they added to prevent spinning.

Also looking for Mickeys beach partners and been working on a few climbs on main rock and vent 5 area. Mostly available on the weekends but can do some weekdays as well.

Mickey’s, Kim’s Gym, Vent 5, Shark Tooth Island, Wiggly Fingers, California Slab, The Egg, etc. These are my home crags and I’m always down to go out for a full day or a half day, whatever. Been sending the 5.10s and just starting to project 5.11s. Would love to go out with someone who can show me the beta or even to run laps on the moderates. There’s some potential new route action, so anyone with stoke for exploring, let me know.

Oh, and weekdays are best for me. Unless I’m up in the Sierras.

I'm looking for a partner for Main Rock this week, either Thursday or Friday. Very familiar with the area and happy to belay on anything.
