Where to Move in Western US?

To people suggesting Flagstaff, have you read the news about the fires? I grew up there and loved it, but let's face it that place is fucked |

Thanks everyone for all the location beta! Y’all are so awesome! Leaning towards Vegas or Spokane. Vegas moreso, if my job approves it. I travel about 50% for work, so the major airport is super convenient, and I like the driving distance to other crags / states / national parks. Also like that Vegas is an attraction for family and friends to visit. |

Kieran Huntwrote: Yeah, and the climbing is amazing. Red Rock Canyon, Charleston, J-tree, St. George, Zion. All rather close. |

Given your travel schedule, Vegas would be a great choice! One of my favorite places to climb. |

Albuquerque checks all of your boxes. |

Kieran Huntwrote: Spokane has pretty decent local climbing but it's pretty far to most other major climbing destinations, it's even a 4 hour drive to Washington's premier crags. Even Vegas is technically closer to city of rocks than Spokane. |

Kyle Elliottwrote: This kind of blew my mind. Fact-checked it just now on Google Maps, and yes it is true. Where I live (Sacramento) is also closer to City of Rocks than Spokane is. Strange. Living in WA, it is true that you are quite isolated from the main western US climbing scene. |
