Unparallel regulus comparison

Hey everyone I’m looking for input on the unparallel regulus. Not as much about the fit of the shoe but about the function. The description says they’re stiff but some deep diving through the internet is leading me to believe they might not be as stiff as described. Other than comparing these shoes to the old hiangles models is there another shoe that the flex and sensitivity compare to? Like the solutions or instincts? Thanks for any help

Probably roughly similar to Instinct Women’s Lace? The full sole gives them a different feel than split sole shoes though. Maybe kinda similar stiffness to the Women’s Miura VCS. Definitely softer than katanas, probably stiffer than Skwamas. In my experience, the tensioned slingshot heel rand is less flexible than other shoes, and the opening of the shoe is quite small. I’ve had the Regulus LVs, TN Pros and TN Pro LVs, and the TN Pros (both HV and LV) definitely flex more in the arch than the Regulus LV. Haven’t had the Regulus so my guess about the stiffness is based on these other 3 pairs. Hope that helps!

Oh and of course the tighter you get the shoe, the stiffer it will ultimately feel. I go down 1.5 sizes from my SS in the TNs. In the Regulus LV I go down 1 size, but I think I could go smaller. The Regulus LV I think feels a smidge stiffer bc of how the tensioning feels. I wear a similar size in UP to what I’ve tried on in the Instinct models, but I don’t own any scarpas personally.

That helps a ton! I’ve been trying to decide between the tn pro and regulus lv. Can you compare the fit to other shoes? Also which one is more sensitive? I mostly climb on 45 woodies and sandstone boulder and RRG steep sport. Trying to find a good all around shoe for all of that

I edited my last message too if it helps at all, but I’d say the TNs are more well rounded than the Regulus, but I like the heel on the TNs more so that’s why I think that. Fit wise, generally unparallel runs a bit on the narrowish side but with greater volume (height) than other models or shoes I’ve tried. Also they seem to have slightly tighter heel cups. Also TN LVs have the sane rubber compound as the TN HVs, but it’s thinner so it’s a bit more flexible/sensitive, but with the same “grip”. TN LVs right now are my go to stiff-ish well rounded shoe, while Flagships 2 sizes down from SS are my go to all around shoe, and Flagships 1.5 sizes down are my go to volume/comp shoe.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
