Alright team, I’m in a bind. I need a cheap van for about a month. Looking for like a $1000. Fine with something for like $200 that needs a motor swap or something. Shit hits the fan in about 9 days. Let’s get the ball rolling. Currently in Ventura, can buy in LA, Bishop, pretty much wherever. I hate the Bay Area, so let’s try not to go there. San Diego is a stretch but I’m sure we can make it work. It’d be nice to not live out of a backpack though. Let me get your piece of shit, friends

Still looking. Also open to SUV’s and station wagons and hatchbacks and RV’s, ya dig?

I have a 2004 Volvo XC70.  Plenty big enough to sleep in the back of, and actually surprisingly decent off road.  Catch is that it’s got a blown head gasket, and it’s in the Portland OR area.  It’s yours for free if you come get it and pay the tax/title transfer/whatever to put it in your name.

I might have missed something but it doesn’t seem like not having a job follows from this given the original post. Just saying that we, or at least I, don’t know the circumstances.

Ya see man, that’s my problem. I need a car to get to work. So what you’re saying is if I just quit my job…problem solved. I’m a boat captain. I make good money doing 86 hour work weeks. I committed to much of said money to getting out of debt (almost there). I made a deal with a guy way earlier in the year that I plan to honor involving the car I currently live in. But life happened to that poor fella, and he needs my car a little sooner than expected. I also have a van, that I’m having trouble tracking down some quality parts for. I just need a piece of shit to last me the immediate future

Will! I will let you know man! I’m going to check out this trailblazer here at about noon o clock. 141k miles, runs, some cosmetic damage, leaks some oil, no a/c, $800 and local? Like da fuq?

Good luck dude, I’ll keep an eye out for a message if the trailblazer doesn’t pan out

Trailblazer did not pan out, but then, out of nowhere, an xterra appeared! This ones going to need just a little loving, maybe a little fudgin on some paperwork, but I think I found a new home friends!
