About a week and a half ago I noticed some weird pain on the inside of my left index finger just below the middle joint. It was swollen and painful on and off. Climbing the night before the first pain, I did not notice an injury event or feel any pain or popping in my finger. It has since become swollen, at times a sharp pain sensation seemed to shoot up diagonally through the joint.
I have seen a dr and X-rays revealed no fractures or bone Spurs. He doesn’t really know what it is. He did theorize it was a ligament injury. I’m buddy taping for a week to allow some inflammation to subside.
I cannot find anything about what type of injury it might be. The dr helped locate pain coming from where the arrow in the pic indicates. Any pulley injuries I have researched involve popping and swelling at the joint, my swelling is below the joint around the phalanx.
I’m curious if anyone has had a similar injury and could speak to PT exercises etc…
hello there got same injury here bottom of my finger is swollen and i can half close my fingers any suggestion and a question how many days did it take to cure?

Yes, it's understood that it's at the bottom of your finger. No doubt. I think it's a clear case of bot rot.
