Just seeing this now. Changed plans and not heading to Vantage cause I couldn’t find a partner. Do you live near Vantage?  I’ll be around there the weekend of June 5. 

When is it too hot to climb at Vantage? Heading to the PNW from TN in June. I figure at least Middle East would be good. What do y’all say? 

Middle east will be shaded at least. But there's plenty other stuff to climb in WA in June that's easier accessible/better. Hard cracks somewhat like Middle East you'll find at Index.

Good to know! Thoughts on Trout in June? I know the main wall is W facing. Do folks AM sesh there in the Summer? I’m so stoked on Index but I’ve been missing basalt really bad.

Trout Creek? It's closed annually from Jan 15 to Aug 31 for the rare birds..

Looks like it’s sad but true. Dangit! I think I’ll be checking out Lower Gorge of Smith and maybe Tieton instead. 

Trout often opens May 15th.  You just never know until the date is near.

Yeah, I've not heard it one way or the other this year. The FB group hasn't posted anything.
