Taking my son to visit Berea College this week. We might be able to sneak a half day for some top roping. Time will be tight, less driving equals more climbing. We climb up to about 5.10. Where should we go? TIA. |

it's about an hour to get to the RRG proper, which is obviously the very best place to climb. There's probably some bouldering closer if you head out 421, but that's not really what you're looking for. Not much else closer than that. Also, I heavily support his visit to Berea, it's truly a one-of-a-kind institution. it was a fantastic place to grow up. |

There were some rains in the area, here is what RRGCC posted on facebook Heavy rains and flooding have severely damaged the infrastructure on RRGCC properties. The Miller Fork road is entirely impassable due to a culvert failure and the main bridge was washed out. PMRP & BRRP have experienced damages to their roads, bridges, and trails as well. Please be aware of further damages that can be caused by climber traffic. Our Land Management team is working diligently to fix these issues; however, it will take several weeks for all repairs to be finished. We appreciate your patience and understanding.-RRGCC Some footage from Beatyville And, there appears to be quite a bit more damage in the area, make sure to get the latest info when heading to RRG |

Holy smokes. That's some pretty devastating flooding. is there anywhere to donate to recovery efforts? I imagine most/many of those submerged homes are write-offs.. |

There is tons of bouldering and sport bolted routes in the area near Berea. Not much is published. |

If I had a half day to check something out, I would hike the Berea Pinnacles. There isn't any real climbing there, but it is very close to town with spectacular scenery. |
