Hello,

I am looking to get custom liners for my mountaineering boots. I met a guy from sure foot who I talked with at length in regards to the foam liners they make but was wondering if anyone has had experience with custom liners and what they think? creditcardsupportx.com   creditcardsupportx.com/targ…  creditcardsupportx.com/baby…

Who's the best out there? Who to avoid? What advantages/disadvantages are there? Is the formable foam the route or are there better materials to use? What's the general price range for this service?

thanks

Intuition makes the best ski boot liners, and they also make mountaineering boot liners. The "Logan" looks to be what you might be looking for unless you have old school Koflachs or something. The foam is heat-moldable which is huge if you have weird feet. You can do it yourself but it's definitely best to go to a shop that has experience doing it, since they'll do stuff like putting pads on the areas where your foot needs more space in the boot, giving your toes more space, etc. Just go to a shop that does a lot of ski boot work.

Palau is the other heat moldable liner company, same as Intution. They are in France, but Skimo.co has some of their liners too.

If you want cheap, look for Scarpa ski boot liners on Sierra. They are made by Intuition. The T4,  mid height tele boot liner should match a climbing boot height.

I have these in all my ski boots and my winter boots. It’s awesome. Very light, comfy and it doesn absorb water, so sweat, or punching into the river, doesn’t freeze your feet later in the day.

much more durable too than “lofted” or open cell foam liners

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
