GriGri Plus keeper cord mod

Anyone have input on drilling the back of their grigri PLUS (there's lots of info on drilling the 2 or original) in order to install a little keeper cord? Both for keeping it attached to yourself, and for fixing it in place for lead soloing.

Cheers

With a grigri plus, I found that there is enough gap between the two halves that I can simply slide a loop of 1.5mm or 1/16 inch accessory cord up in between, around the hinge.  Didn't need any drilling and works great.  Feed for the grigri+ on the otherhand, in my experience, was subpar.

I used 1/2" webbing as a keeper sling through the same gap until one day it caught on the brake lever and pulled it.  That was the end of that.  The mod he's referring to uses a single strand of p-cord with a stopper knot on the inside which runs down to a biner.  There is still the possibility of it catching the lever but I think it's reduced since the cord is a strand and not a loop.  @Erik Jackson, did you end up finding a way to do that mod with the plus?
