Is this normal or should I cut it short or leave it alone?

  • If you're worried about it you could just cut it real short and put a dab of super glue on it.  But I wouldn't worry about it

Don't cut it! That is a whisker. Pretty new technology that improves sensitivity when approaching the rock.

Careful dude that's a structural thread. Cut it and your toe is guaranteed to blow out while sending the crux of your proj!
