Anybody else think it's fun to climb through winter storms? Kind of impossible in the summer but seems like in winter the possibilities are more open (no lightening threat, and everything's already covered in snow and ice anyway). The bad weather really makes everything that much more wild. Was googling just now hoping to find some inspiring photos climbers pushing on through gnarly conditions but all I get are discussions of rock climbers trying to deal with thunder storms *shudders*. The best photo that comes to mind is the "chouinard" "equipment for alpinists" poster. Anyone got anything good to share?
This is what I've got, from one of my best days out last year.

Sacrasam or not sacrasam is hard to discern in text, but ice climbing through a snowstorm is a walk in the park compared to getting caught high on an alpine rock route in an honest thunderstorm.
But to answer the original question, ice climbing during a big winter storm is pretty fun as long as the avalanche danger doesn't spike out of control.

Oh man! Just remembered little snow sloughs burrying me midway up Seldom Scene as I was trying to figure out where the ice was! Yeah, it's pretty fun to climb in the storms, even just light cragging feels pretty wild sometimes
Been there. Lake effect snow, or a strong Nor'easter like Super Storm Stella is a freakin' blast.

Most of my close calls have been driving not climbing. Not always on my way to the crag, but more often than not. The classic retort that climbing may be dangerous but driving is too is a bit facetious, but I feel like once you've taken up winter climbing you find yourself driving in much more dangerous conditions than most people normally do...
