Renting a portaledge

Hey all! I’d like to rent a portaledge over Memorial Day weekend (I want to buy one but I’m waiting for the Memorial Day sales so it won’t help for that weekend).

Are there any companies or gear shops that rent out portaledges? Any good samaritans willing to rent out their own? I’m in the Bay Area.

I would think that by time you add up the costs of renting one, for even just one day, plus buying one during sale, it would still be cheaper to just buy one now at full price. Assuming you plan to use it more than once.

I might be able to help anyone out needing a portaledge rental.  Message me directly please.

According to Eric Sloan on his website, he rents portaledges.

"I’ve started renting portaledges, haulbags, pitons, big cams, etc., as a ‘pay what you want’ kind of service to help folks get up their bigwall dreams.
Email me and tell me what you’re looking for…..I can usually do something like this:
Portaledge:
$40 for regular portaledge for the Nose (or other trade route, a little more for longer routes).
Haulbag / Hauler / lowerout line – $20
Big Cams / Pitons – $10

You live in the Bay Area and you need a ledge? Where are you planning on going if you don't mind my asking? Is it a certain place about a 4hr drive from you?

OP post is from a year ago.
