Looked through all the info I could find and didn't find the answer to this question. It looks like Time Wave Zero is 23 rappels and it takes up quite a bit of time. Anyone know if we could use a tagline with a 70m to cut the amount of rappels in half? or are the pitches/rap rings to wandering to link rappels? Any feedback is appreciated!

Depends on when you do it. You can use a tagline to cut the number of raps significantly. However, it is a very crowded route (the rap route follows the climbing route), and if you do double-raps you may end up crossing lines with 4-5 parties, creating quite the cluser. It is often low-angle at points too, with trees/cactus/other vegetation for long ropes to get caught on.

In short- yes you can, but it may or may not be wise or even save you that much time.

Agreed with sean m. between the crowds, the things to snag and often the wind probably not worth it. We simul-rapped with a single 70 and it took us about two hours. Bring gloves and a second rap device, seemed to make things go quicker not having to deal with a single smoking hot belay device burning your crotch while you're trying to pull your rope. If you want to save time on the route bring enough draws to link pitches together.

I had an almost identical experience as Clayton - simul rapped on a single 70. Took us about 2.5 hours as best as I can recall.
