I like this idea. Vantage = The noob and dog circus Smith = the land of steep mudpiles and bolts Leavenworth = ticks and long walk land Castle Rock = WHAT, I CAN'T HEAR YOU? Index = the rainy place with steep rocks Exit 38 = the rainy place with little rocks Little Si = the rainy place with overhanging rocks Squamish = the rainy canuck place with big rocks

Calling anything by its highway exit number is pretty stupid.

I think we can all agree it should be called George, Washington.

This suggested naming convention will lead to mass confusion and epics by car. Edit to Add: weird that my picture was inserted in the quoted text and not in my reply. Paging Nick.

It is called Frenchman Coulee in books, but over time people (including me) seem to like the shorter Vantage namesake.

I agree I've only ever heard it referenced as Vantage outside the guides.

What's funny is 90% of the routes at vantage are actually in Echo basin, not frenchman coulee. Middle east wall, zig zag, feathers, and the sanctuary are in the coulee proper.

Yeah this is totally confusing. Luckily all these areas fall under the very succinct title of Exit 143. Problem solved!!
