Creative picket carrying?

Wondering if anyone has any creative ways for carrying their pockets beyond the standards of slotting them down the side straps on a pack, middle clipping them to your harness or sliding them down your back and clipping to shoulder strap.

Maybe a quiver type modification to your backpack that works well? Just looking for something a little less annoying than what i mentioned. Thanks

If somebody has a better way I’d kiss em

If it is not full I often just put them in my pack and pull them out as needed.

Additional solution, leave the picket at home. If the snow is steep and unconsolidated enough to fall a picket will be useless, and anything short of that you aren’t going to be falling. If you need to make a snow anchor for crevasse falls use a tool or ski.

They do make really great snow stakes though!

In certain parts of the world, pickets are the best choice of pro. In the Cordillera Blanca it’s pretty common to carry 6+ of them.

Such nonsense! There are plenty of places where a picket is the protection of choice. Yeah, pickets can be a PITA but I have used them on plenty of routes where it is steep enough a fall would be deadly and a screw would not work worth shit.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
