There is "Trango Vergo Recall" thread here on mproj, it has some reports of official communications with Trango regarding Vergo production.

I email them every month or two about progress and get the same "we are working on it" response, but there's no official status report really. I've long since gotten a grigri, and figure they'll mail me a Vergo or a check sometime. Otherwise I'll keep checking in every couple of months. I post the responses in the Vergo Recall thread mentioned by the others. I really hope I get a Vergo and they don't just scrap the whole device.

Is anyone uneasy about how small the main pivot bolt is? Not the handle pivot, but the pivot holding the plates together. I just bought one, wanting a device that can be used for both belay/rappel and TR soloing.

I guess it's kind of small, but I don't worry about it. I take falls onto mine TR soloing a lot.

Thanks Max. I've seen minitraxions with bent plates from getting loaded off axis, so it concerns me a little. Looks like the plate fittings will prevent that though.

Thoughtful responses require thoughtful questions. But then thoughtful questions require thoughtful people so I guess your question was going to be disadvantaged from the start. This is probably why we don't hang out anymore. lol.

Nobody forces you to answer a question on a public forum, so if that is what you thought of my question, then why bother answering it with nothing of value in the first place, unless you're just addicted to your own online smugness? For someone who plays up the very vocal "woe is me" disadvantaged victim card on other platforms, I would have thought you'd be more thoughtful and aware. But you're not. And you're nowhere near as smart as you think you are either. Anyway, I can see you have a vested interest in feeling superior, and you're probably willing to invest more time in it than I am. So hey, your ego wins this one! Yay you! If you're unsatisfied with that win, then take it up with me in person, so as to save everyone who's looking for info on the vergo the drama.

It sounds like we forgot to talk about the Vergo here. Liquor stores arent closed yet, go get drunk and see if you come up with something climbing related to argue about.

You ask if anyone is uneasy with the pivot bolt is on the Vergo. I answer your question that I don't. This is the context for all of the mess that came afterwards. See you at the next gathering. lol.

If that happens, Vergo acts like a low-low-low friction ATC. Make sure that carabiner is thick enough to prevent that sort of jamming.

Interesting. Why is it just the screw kind? I have the fancy gridlock one.
