Going to be in Park City, UT for a week later this month and would like to get in a day of climbing. Any suggestions on someplace close? My favorite is easy (5.6-5.8) multi-pitch trad but happy to do some sport stuff as well. Just want to get on some rock. Any good spots close by?

your best bet, if you have a car, will be to go over Guardsman pass from Park City and down Big Cottonwood canyon. Hit Stoert's Ridge and Outside Corner. Both really nice 3 pitch moderate trad routes with good exposure.

Also, if you're up for a big approach, Sundial peak has got a great long moderate on it.

Echo is close to Park City and has some newer sport climbs that are fairly easy, as well as harder stuff. The Uintas are close but are starting to get cold; it snowed up high a couple of days ago. Big and Little Cottonwood would be best for multi-pitch moderate trad. Have a good visit.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
