Does anyone have reasonable experiance with them? I want to pick up a set, but it's limited what you can find in North America. The two that I can seem to get in my size are the Lowa and the Boreal boots. |

Not exactly high-performance gear, but good for folks on a budget. The cycling shoe isn't a bad idea, but I am looking for high performance. |

Find any great comfy all leather old style high top and screw on some Raptor sets. I did, and they are fine, except have no warmth in cold weather. |

The LOWA Ice Comp boots will certainly be the warmest. I have worn them or the past few seasons, and for the little extra bulk it is well worth it to have warm feet if you climb hard technical ice or mixed lines in winter. Excellent comfort and performance. |

Making your own is another option, at least you'll get better fit on the boots |

Excellent comfort and performance. Have you been able to try some of the lower profile fruit boots as a comparison? I would be will to sacrafice a small amount of performace for warth, but not too much. |
