Go to the City of Rocks! It is not far out of the way, and you won't be disappointed.

ok last check on the weather...we are heading south from yellowstone on saturday morning. as of right now, we will probably head to logan for a day or 2 rather than to uintas, based on what we've heard. any new updates on uinta weather?

I don't have an update on the Uintas, though I wouldn't expect there to have been much change given the weather we've been having.

Just wanted to second Bobby's recommendation for City of Rocks over the Logan area. It's such a neat area with so many options for climbing. The weather doesn't look like it's going to be great Sat-Sun in either place, but Mon on looks better.

Have a good trip!

Was up at Ruth Lake on friday. Sunny conditions but still a ton of snow and a lot of wet routes on the main cliff.

Just wanted to send a quick thanks to everyone who gave us weather updates a couple of weeks ago! We ended up scratching Uintas and stopped in Logan on the way down from Yellowstone, then spent two days in Big Cottonwood, and 2 days in Maple. Aside from me bashing my knee into a cobble on a whipper on the last climb of the first day in Maple, we had a stellar trip! For anyone who may be interested, I have 3 trip reports, separated by area, posted on my blog ( erica.thelineberrys.com) Thanks again for everyone's input! I'd be happy to return the favor someday.
