Two separate friends move to the same city

Friend A moved to city A. Friend B moved to city A. How do I decide which friend to stay with, without upsetting the other friend. Neither of these friends really know each other. Should I make them fight over me? 

That's an easy one. Once you wear out your welcome with Friend A you move on to exploit the goodwill of Friend B. Double your couch surfing time.

tell friend A you met someone at a bar and are staying with them for some time, then go to friend A’s house after a few nights with B.

Introduce your friends to each other and manipulate them into hooking up; now you can sleep at whoever's apartment is left empty.

Tell A you're at B's and B you're at A's, then go solo climbing. 

This becomes one of those "who runs bartertown?" type scenes. But for sure they gotta go into the Thunderdome and one of them's gotta murder the other.
