Would you buy/use this rope from Woot?

Not I. Vevor is the Harbor Freight of the internet--you take your chances with anything bought there. Some stuff is a good value, some is garbage, but none of it is the best there is. The listing says "polyester" in one place, and "nylon" in another. They don't even know what their rope is made of! No indication of where it was made. (that I could find). Cheap rope can often look good at first, but quickly changes, whether fattening up, stiffening, or wearing out untimely. Better to pay twice as much or more for a Mammut 60m and know you're getting something good. |

The UIAA has a database of all equipment that has followed the process for testing/approval to their standards: https://www.theuiaa.org/safety/certified-equipment/ The "Vevor" brand is not listed there at all, indicating that they do not make any UIAA approved gear. |

I gave all responses a thumbs up. Even yours Kyle. If you need a cheap anvil for cold shoeing horses, a Vevor will get the job done. |

Never, but mostly cuz it’s 10.2mm. |

Seems sketch based on this post but I've used this rope a bunch. No whippers but a ton of T/r falls by my partner, and that was after a couple months of using it as a route-cleaning/work rope. It has some rough spots in the sheath, but prob from the anchor placements (we climb a lot of granite domes). I think if anything it just wears out quick |

Ok so now that we’ve all agreed the answer to OP is no, I’d like to derail this thread to discuss this image So did they take a stock photo of a woman belaying or single stand rapping and then AI it into a climbing photo? What’s happening with her helmet strap?

Happy to hear the resounding “no” 😂 this is going to make me think twice about hopping on people’s top ropes out in the wild |
