Jeff Foott

Yosemite climber and photographer Jeff Foott passed away earlier in December.

That's a nice obituary. Rest in Peace.

And the Tetons, where I knew him.  He was one of the preeminent wildlife photographers in the 80s and 90s.

I knew Jeff to chat with him in the Tetons bitd. A handsome guy, he usually had a girlfriend nearby. RIP

dang, i dont claim to have known him, but that is a well lived life

Ran into him camping outside of devils tower in the 90s. Told us some cool stories.  He had a really nice camper. We were in a beat up Toyota.

I remember Jeff's posts to Supertopo.  He lived quite a life!!!

I'm posting a video below, referred to in this part of his obituary: "At one point he was near losing his home in Wyoming. A fortuitous offer to shoot and act in a commercial for Genesee beer allowed him to retain his property. The hilarious out-takes can still be viewed on YouTube. "
