I've been searching for the link to the climbing museum that is online and is quite extensive. For example one can look up all the various iterations of a carabiner or belay device in detail as well as the design changes from model to model.

Anyone have a link to the site?

This is, probably, not what you asked for, adding to the thread anyways -

 https://www.verticalmuseum.com/

The Vertical Museum now has 5892 cataloged items (not counting duplicates) including 3265 unique ascenders, descenders and related devices; 726 different carabiners; 619 distinct pitons, bashies, hangers, heads and anchors; 859 varied nuts, cams, and hooks; and 423 assorted hammers, ice axes, crampons, and related tools.

Perhaps not the site you're looking for, but may be useful: https://verticalarchaeology.com/

https://www.verticalmuseum.com/ is Gary Storrick's website. I emailed him recently, and he said he allowed the website krok.biz to use his photos and info, so there's overlap between the two websites.

Do a search for vertical devices, Gary Storrick. He has a very extensive collection that even goes through the progression of changes with different manufacturers. His focus is on belay devices, repel devices, and a senders.
