My family of three (myself, wife, and 7yr old son) are getting out of the gym and into outdoor climbing. Looking for a guide in the Moab area march 9-13 2026. We have all our own equipment for sport and trad, ropes, and all the other equipment. Hoping to find a guide here, pay cash and skip the markup at the adventure tours.  Someone that is good with teaching, helping me build confidence for my wife and son, and help us stay SAFE.

If I can’t find the right person, any tips for confidence building routes and crags in the area would be awesome

thanks!

Hey Rick, I'd be happy to help. I'm sure we'd be able to work out a cash discount, but it'll have to be on the books. The BLM has a great relationship with climbers in Moab and they certainly deserve their cut as well! I'm an SPI provider so I spend a ton of my time teaching, plus my first guiding job was at a summer camp with kids 6-18. I'll send you a DM.

I highly recommend Adam and truly believe he will jumpstart your family’s transition to outdoor climbing in a fun and informative way!
