Climbing partner in Richmond, VA

Hey folks,

I’m looking for a climbing partner in Richmond, VA. I currently climb at Peak (both locations) at about 5.10 level. I climbed for a few years maybe 15 years ago (exclusively indoors), and have decided to get back in the game a couple of months ago.

I’d like to focus on progressing my skills. Ideally, I’d like to spend most of my time doing TR for now, with the next step being lead climbing. Down the line, I’d like to get outdoors experience and also learn trad.

That said, I’m down to climb any style if what I just mentioned isn’t your thing

For what it’s worth, I’m hoping to learn these skills so I can combine them with my backpacking experience to one day get into some proper mountaineering. But that’s a ways off, and a bunch of other skills to lear

In case it matters to anyone else who might be looking for a partner, I’m 35m.

I am in Cville and have a loose network of partners from DC to cville, to VA beach....several in RVA.   Some climb harder than you, some lower.    Mixed ages, and expwrience levels but if you want to get plugged into our Discord and reach out for partners I can add you.   Very chill but safe.   Can teach you to follow, lead (when you have the skills) sport and trad multipitch.  A couple just became guides.   Even have a few ice climbers.   Hit me up if you want to find safe outdoors partners.

yo norm, i just found this too, can i get plugged into a discord, ive had too much trouble finding dc partners lately

@everyone I’m new to the area temporarily and would love to get in the discord group and find some partners for outdoor climbing especially and possibly ice later in the year! Also if anyone is interested in getting out this weekend message me and we can exchange numbers and plan something :)
