Selling a mountain bike?
|
|
Hi everyone! Posting on this forum as I can’t figure out how to post on the MTB project app, but is anyone in Colorado by chance looking to sell their mountain bike? In need of an upgrade as mine is a bit beat up. Looking for a Cannondale Trail, Scott Contessa or Rockhopper but honestly open to any options. Hopefully something durable in the snow as well. Thanks in advance! |

Craigslist. I’ve purchased multiple mountain bikes there over the years. |

I have a Trek Remedy 9 (wheels 27.5, full suspension, dropper-post) I'd be willing to sell. Needs a new back rim, but otherwise it's in good shape. It's an XL frame (I'm 6'3"). If that sounds like it'll work for you, text me... Three Oh 3,907one701 I'm just looking to free up garage space because I don't ride it much anymore, so would be open to any reasonable offer. |

What's your price range and what size do you typically ride? This Facebook group is probably the most active in CO for trading MTB stuff. But if you're looking for hard tail and entry level like a Rockhopper consider something new. Right now a lot of deals out there. Tough few years in bike industry. Entry level build Rockhopper is $400 right now brand new. https://www.facebook.com/groups/frontrangebikeswap/?ref=share&mibextid=NSMWBT |

Kevin Rwrote: Trek Remedy 9 is a good bike! One of my biking partners has those and likes it. Do you think the XL would fit me though? (I’m a 5’8 small frame female) |

what is it you mean when asking for “something durable in the snow”? New hardtail is the answer. M scott contessa 930 for 1800$ on scott website |

You could try The Pros Closet in Louisville. They do a good job of tuning up the bikes before they sell them. It’s seems like they lean toward higher end used bikes. Big selection and you can test ride them. https://www.theproscloset.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorBNUKo9Iquqpme3vMGlsRZNQ7J-xG3QwJ4yeFsu_cZzXpLl1hS |

TPC is so overpriced. They do have great bikes and keep/get them in great condition, however there are no “deals”. |

Walt Peterswrote: I meant a bike that holds up well for winter riding in Colorado. I ride in light snow and on packed snowy trails, so I’m looking for a hardtail or a bike with wider tires, good traction, and components that handle cold and slush without constant issues! Nothing extreme, just something reliable for winter conditions! I’ll look into that one. |
