This one shouldn't be too hard.

1st clue: In the US.

2nd clue: Idaho

It's not Borah, but I'm not sure what other clues to give since it's a famous mountain in Idaho.  It is a 12er.

I know that one, but haven't climbed it.  You can see it from very far away so I've seen it from many peaks.

How is the hike up it?

The hike up was a sweet little choose your own adventure. We spent an extra few hours hiking in from the main gravel thoroughfare in order to avoid driving through a short stretch of posted and low-key blockaded land. Went up the left ridge as pictured here.

It was the descent that was noteworthy. Bottom line: consider descending on a good snowpack. We did it last month and did not enjoy moving carefully down a 4000’+ gulley of sustained unstable large talus (torso size on average). I’m holding back on how much it sucked! You couldn’t pay me…

If no one else is guessing, I guess I could.  It's Pilot Peak, right?

If anyone is interested, the peak was named by Fremont and was very important to the Donner Party to cross the Great Salt Lake Desert.  It was the most reliable landmark used to cross the salt flats and anyone crossing the Great Salt Lake Desert at the time would use that peak for navigation.

The Donner Party had a tough time crossing the desert and had to abandon some of their supplies in order to reach the springs at the base of Pilot Peak.   They went back for them after obtaining water, but it cost them precious time and they lost a lot of livestock crossing the salt flats.

Nice write-up, appreciate your effort! There are interpretive signs as you drive in.

You’re up

I hope this is appropriate and that I'm not breaking any rules of the game.  If I am just set me straight and I'll delete this post.

Anyway, I took this photo on a flight from Frankfurt to Turin. Does anyone want to take a shot and ID-ing some of the mountains? Other than the Alps, I don't know what peaks these are so I hope that's OK. I won't be able to tell someone if they are right or wrong.  Feel free to use any sources/resources you wish.

If no one can ID them rather quickly, I'll either post something else or turn it over to somebody else.

Nice picture, that's the Berner Oberland.  The two prominent mountains just left of center are the east faces of the Schreckhorn and the Lauteraarhorn.

I'm going skiing for a few days, so you should post another one.

This one should be relatively easy.  Name any of the peaks.

Wetterhorn is correct, but Uncompahgre is farther left and isnt on the photo. You're up.

Oops- I suppose that's Redcliff and Coxcomb on the right.

I'll take the partial credit. Name any of the below, though the tallest one in the distance is the most obvious.
