La Sportiva TX4 vs TX4 evos

Hey all,

Love the TX4, but feel like they wear pretty quick. Considering the evo so that I had the resole option. Some questions:

1. Anyone resolved the evo? What did you think? What did it cost?

2. How are the laces/eyelets of the evo? I feel like this is a weak point for the TX4. Curious if the evo is different.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks! That was helpful. I didn't see any mentions in that post of anyone actually getting a resole (perhaps the evos had just come out then). Does anyone who has resoled evos have an opinion?

I've gotten my Evos resoled (and even modified to zero drop) through Backcountry Cobblers, very pleased with the work. Note that many other resolers (even Sportiva verified ones) said they wouldn't resole the TX approach shoe line for various reasons before I found Backcountry Cobblers who was willing to.

I haven't had an issue with the eyelets, but I'm also not frequently jamming wide cracks with them.

Thanks for the info! I've definitely had eyelet issues.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
