Brand new Arc'teryx Skaha harness, size large. Still has the tags on it, but I just bought the wrong size. It's the women's version, but I'm not sure if there's actually a difference for this harness. $60 shipped to anywhere in the US. Normally $180 new. |

Did you buy this for $27 from the crazy deal Arc had? If so, seems kind of lame to mark it up that much for resale.... |

I guess I'm just not enough of a capitalist, I guess. I just passed along one of the 2 I bought for my cost. Karma is a thing. |

Seen a lot of Skahas pop up on various platforms all with the same headline. |

FYI the women's harness has different sizing. The waist/leg loop proportions are different. Source: I also considered buying one from the $27 sale |

David Mileswrote: Nah scalping is not even good business. Rent seeking practices are actually a huge problem for liberal capitalism. They are completely unproductive and highly antisocial. The "founding" economists (hobbes, locke, ricardo etc) of liberal capitalism warned against it as a parasitic drain on society as a whole. So even if you believe in the invisible hand, the end of history, that capitalism is the bestwe're going to get...well, rent seeking is still lame as fuck. Scalping is just Black Rock scaled down to one guy selling PS5s for 1k in the Walmart parking lot. |

evan freemanwrote: Wow, thanks for all the attention everyone. I paid $30 with tax, then estimated UPS ground shipping at $24. I rounded up from $54 to $60 in case someone further away (e.g., AK or HI) bought it Mr Rogerswrote: Hell yeah. That $6 is going to double my annual income! |

$60 is a pretty good deal for that harness in new condition. Not sure how it matters what the seller paid for it. |

and again, another mark up for no reason....just adjust if the person who wants to buy it is not in the CONUS.
Nah, more like $20 bucks, Richy Rich. |

Admins can we get this moved to the politics thread? |

Selling something for 66 percent off retail isn’t really scalping. I’d probably buy this if this was a medium. That said, fronting like you’re basically not going to make any money because shipping is $24 when we all know this could fit in a $10.60 prepaid bubbler is pretty lame. |

ZachPwrote: I shipped a whole ass mountain bike fork insured at $475 across the country for $28 with ups ground. If you're going to resell one at least be honest about. Very high on the uncool scale imo |

I think while what hes doing isnt objectively terrible or anything in a community built on trust and goodwill the right thing to do is probably just be honest and list it as 27 + buyer pays shipping, especially because he most likely found out about the deal through someone elses goodwill on the deals forum. |

ups ground would be about 15-20 dollars. I don’t get why everyone is up in arms abt a 4-9 dollar exaggeration. His markup compared to the sale is perfectly reasonable. If he was choosing to try to profit he could’ve sold it for 80-100 dollars shipped. To all of the people shaming the OP: lay off. |

Mr Rogerswrote: Good grief! I didn't realize this was 6th grade math and I'd have to show my work. That's to ship from 89119 (Las Vegas) to 30033 (Atlanta) in the original box that it came in. Feel free to go to the UPS website to check for yourself. If any buyer wants to pay $30 and send me a FedEx or UPS label (not USPS, since I can never get there before or after work), they're welcome to. The box that it came in is 8x8x6 and I'm guessing weighs 2 lbs. That said, I'm tired of being vilified for reselling a harness, so I'm not going to check this thread anymore. DM me if you're interested. |

ZachPwrote: I dunno, when I put that into the UPS website they quote me at $23.69, not $24. Ripping people off for another $0.31! |
