How can I find Christian community near Interlocken (Broomfield, CO)? |
|

If you haven’t already, check out Climbers for Christ. There’s a Colorado chapter. The CFC website is currently going through a revamp so I’d recommend finding the groups on Facebook instead. |

Charlie Swrote: That's a good idea. Thank you, Charlie! |

Met a guy last year at Eldo after a near miss with some rockfall. He said he was a Christian preacher that had a climbing based congregation and theme. Not a christian myself, but sounded like an interesting take. |

Every forum post like this gets taken overrun with unhelpful comments. If you are interested in participating in this community or have information that OP would find helpful, feel free to reply. Otherwise, the respectful thing to do is move on without replying. |

I believe the censored proto-christian was correct in that the best forum to find christian climbers is to post on local church notice boards and ask around inside that community. MP has many troll accounts and people who have been affected negatively by isolated pockets of the religious community. I myself was just redacted in my light hearted attempt to help you expand your community opportunities beyond that of the sometimes insular religious one. |

MP Moderatorswrote: It would be nice if the mods were this dedicated to dealing with all troll posts. Honestly this site is one racist post away from being a combination of RC.com and ST. |

We review posts that have been flagged by Mountain Project users, so the best way to improve things is to flag content from bad actors. |

MP Moderatorswrote: I think you mean every forum post. I know mods have a difficult and thankless job. The simple fact is the site is full of hateful, sexist, racist, bigoted trolls. If users reported every instance of this behavior the mods would never be able to handle it. That and 85% of the posts on the site would be gone. |

Yeah - my post was deleted. That’s ok. Seems Charlie S’s earlier post said it all. |

When I was living in Broomfield I went a few times to flatirons church with friends. They always seemed nice. |
