Friend aquirred this rope from a neighbor. Looks barely used. Not that familiar with Mammut  color schemes. Looks pretty dated. Anyone have an idea what rope this is and when it was manufactured? 2000's?

Can we get better photos of the ID tag?

The other side of the tag just shows the Mammut logo

I will also guess mid-90s. Good for many things, but likely not climbing.

Worth emailing Mammut to ask - they’re usually pretty responsive in my experience.

Yeah, if he pulls it out at the crag, I ain't climbing on it.

I've been climbing about 25 years and I prefer my ropes to be younger than that.

Edit to add: Yes, I meant for lead climbing. Probably ok for top roping and other cordage uses.

If its been well taken care of and stored well I wouldn't hesitate to use it for top roping.  I have ropes from the 90's that are still kicking, I wouldn't use them for leading but for cutting up and using them for anchor material or top roping should be fine.

I’ll pay you to ship it to me!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
