Anyone go climb in the cirque recently? I have never climbed there this early in the season but was thinking about heading there this weekend -- curious about snow and mosquito levels. Thnx.

Was just there over the weekend. The traverse start on Wolf's Head (Pitch 1 on the MP page) was holding a fair amount of snow. South and East aspects of Pingora were in nicely. I didn't get a good look at the North side. This is the view from Mitchell Peak 7/4

Pingora from the northeast. 7\4

Same view from northeast but prettier and full pano

pingora southeast view. 7\5

Wasn't climbing unfortunately. Approach into the cirque and around was easy. Minimal snow and no spikes required. Mosquitos were horrific on the Shadow Lake approach to the cirque. They were fine in the cirque and did not require bug nets when enjoying dinner and a view.
