We are headed to Squamish from July ~15 - Aug 23. The awesome basement apartment will be available June 16th. The whole house will be available while we are gone. The whole house is totally renovated. We are looking for 1 or 2 people who want to stay until the end of August. This rate is extremely low because we need someone to keep the occasional eye on our indoor/outdoor cat Ralphie. We have friends who are happy to come and take care of his litter and food but would love the tenant to be cat friendly. We complete a tenant verification process, check rental history, and proof of income. There is a shop available for those looking to park and work on their van if you are on the road and need a home base. Photos are of the upstairs and the link here is for the Furnished Finder Listing. Note that we have added more art, plants, and kitchen amenities to the FF Apartment since the original photos in the listing.

Location 11th E. 52nd S.

Availability:
June 16 - Aug 31

$ Rate:

$1100 per month

$1000 pet deposit (refundable)

$500 security deposit (refundable)

*Regularly the rent for the basement is $1600 flat rate. But we will be needing it come September. We can chat about flexibility.

Yes, that’s precisely why the whole house is only available when we are gone. Receiving an entire furnished home in SLC for $1100 is an insane trade to just have to chill with a cat. Like I said we have friends who can do the feeding and the litter. I just want to make sure the person that is living at the house is cool with cats and also not allergic.
We use trusted house sitters as well when the basement is already rented. Last year we had a family from Spain staying upstairs through trusted house sitters.

The main goal of this post is to fill the apartment as our current tenant is moving out. We will have three months of vacancy, the added bonus of getting to use the upstairs while we are gone, seemed like a pretty nice offer.

Hey man! My wife and I are moving to SLC soon, plan on getting there first or second week of August. We’re road-tripping down from Alaska where we currently live. Moving to SLC because I’m going back to school on the GI Bill and we wanted to move to somewhere with better access for climbing, so we chose the SLC area and I’ll be going to SLCC.

We’re looking for housing.  Happy to start with something short-term while I get school started and we both look for jobs. Once we get our feet underneath us (moving across the country can be tough!) we’ll be looking for something more long term.

We can chat more elsewhere, but a little about us: I’m 28, she’s 21, newlyweds, both climbers, I’m a paramedic and will be going to nursing school while ideally working part-time. 740+ credit score, no debt, good savings. She’s a yoga instructor, barista, and river guide. We have a 6 year old golden retriever and have had a cat in the past (the dog is great with cats).

If you’re still looking for tenants and we sound like we’d work for you, feel free to respond here with contact info or DM me. Thanks!
