Innsbruck End of June!

Hi everyone! My name is Jehan and I'm from the US! I'm going to be in Innsbruck at the end of June for a weekend for the world cup! Looking to sport climb or multi-pitch on the 28th or 29th of June somewhere around Innsbruck because I've heard there's great climbing. I lead 9s/10s, but honestly I'm willing to get on anything and belay anything, just there to have fun! I won't have a rope or rack with me since I'm traveling internationally. If anyone would like a partner or is willing to let me join their group for a fun day out, let me know! Thanks!

there are a number of whatsapp groups that operate partner finder, etc. subgroups.  if you go to the upstairs ki bulletin board you'll be able to scan a qr code and get more info...

i'd expect most of the lower crags in the area to be quite 'warm' ;-)

That's amazing that there are Whatsapp groups! Do you have links to any of the groups? I'm not there for too long and wouldn't want to risk not being able to climb because it's super last minute..

unfortunately no links, i actually got rid of whatsapp when they integrated ai…

that said, i just did a quick search and came up with ‘kletterfexen innsbruck’ - not what i used, but looks quite usable.

i highly recommend using german search terms, ie ‘klettern’ instead of ‘climbing,’ ‘tirol’ instead of ‘tyrol,’ etc.

unfortunately my partner got seriously hurt on a recent extended trip to innsbruck, which left me scrambling for climbing partners.  it was pretty rough going initially, but eventually got to the point where i had too many people lined up (ie multiple potential partners for the same dates).  this was in winter, i imagine there are more people around in summer/fall.
