Thin MTB knee pads?

I have thick knee and shin guards that work very well if I don’t land on my face. They’re kinda annoying and I only put them on for the more serious stuff. Lately, all of my rides have a few sections where I either feel totally naked and bony without them or hot and sweaty and bogged down with them.

What I’d love would be a thin pad that only covers the knee. Doesn’t need to be nearly as burly. Something to take the edge off. I’d totally accept that they won’t be as protective as my current ones.

Ideally, they’d be light enough to wear on cross country days, because I’m still gonna do stupid stuff.

Bonus points if they’d fit under or over my pants if I want to climb an offwidth, or ride in cooler weather.

I have been using the TLD Speed Sleeves for a couple years. I don't get that gnarly but the extra piece of mind is nice.

They are stretchy but only to a point so if you have extra thick thighs and bird knees they might not stay on very well

+ 1 for TLD above.  Also very easy to pull down to ankle on chill flat/down and uphill travel to let the knees breath.

Between the reviews and the price, seems like I’d be a fool not get these.

$35

I couldn’t find anything less than $75 at the shop today.

I don't see a size chart. Do you guys have a recommendation? My calves are 14", knee 15" and thigh 19"

I went with the XS/S. I’m probably a S/M but it looks like they don’t make that. They jump to a M/L. It’ll be snug but I’d prefer that over slipping down.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
