I’m looking for a safe and experienced trad climber who manages risk competently, feels comfortable falling on gear, and wouldn’t mind helping me gain more experience and educated confidence.

I’ll bring the stoke, the rope, snacks, and I’ll drive! I’m 38 years old and have sport climbed consistently for about 10-ish years, though I’ve only ever dabbled in trad. I climb sport up to 12+, and I have a bit of trad gear. I live in Reno and am willing to travel around Reno, Bishop, Yosemite. My availability is Fridays-Sunday.

A bit more about me: I work in healthcare, love my community, have 2 cats and also enjoy mountain biking, though climbing is my jam!

I'll teach ya whatever you like. I'm a mega punter due to chronic health issues but I have climbed a big wall and I also lead rope solo. I have mentored many climbers and I think I'm decent at doing it.

I can teach you whatever you like. Placing gear, anchors, multipitch, crack climbing, whatever floats your boat. I have an area that's 30 minutes from me here in Angel's Camp that I'm developing that would be a good learning trad crag (we have one of the most fun trad 5.5s I've done anywhere and plenty of trad from 5.6 up to 5.10-.) and the Grotto would be a great spot to do a crack day or two. If you know of equally good places near you we could do it somewhere else. Would be down to do some easy trad multis with ya in Tahoe and Yosemite once you're solid placing gear and know a little crack climbing.

I can try to bring along the gf some days, too, she's cooler than me and y'all would probably get along.

For long, complicated reasons I feel I have a debt to society and it turns out I kinda hate volunteering, so randomly mentoring climbers is how I like to put good juju into the universe and try and help pay it forward.

I would love to join, climb with either of you this summer! I am also brand new to trad but solid on multipitch. I am currently living in San Francisco but I quit my job and am excited to just get out and climb as much as possible this summer. Hit me up if you are interested! 231 six-two-zero 0769

A bit last minute but if anyone here is up to trad climb in the bishop area this weekend, I'm game

Trad climbing for 5 years or so, not super strong but very experienced and safe (my wife insists on it!)

Sent a DM, I mostly trad but also want to try to knock out a few old nemesis sport climbs at Star Walls.
