What’s your guess?

Rumor is that 108 opens Thursday, plowing has been complete for a week or so - waiting on road/sign repairs.

I wanna hear guesses on Tioga... Seems somewhat imminent given the plowing been complete already.

Tioga likely to be open for Memorial Day holiday, but wouldnt be surprised if it was pushed to the first week of June.

Weather will play a role for sure - keep your fingers crossed for high pressure and clear skies!

Any pass. So my drive to Bishop from the Bay Area isn’t so long. I’m leaving Saturday. It’s looking like l’m in luck.

Oh, where in the Bay Area? You’ll probably want to go over 80, 50, 88 or 108 depending. I wouldn’t want to go 4 or 120 even in summer. They take too long. There’s a weather system coming next weekend, so keep an eye on that.

Glacier point opened this weekend and the NPS site said they had the road plowed all the way to tioga as of May 5.  I would think they would open it for Memorial Day.  That would be almost 3 weeks after they cleared the road to get the other things done.  I'm hoping to drive through Tioga on the first of June. We'll see

I drove over Ebbotts Pass last weekend. And Caltrans shows it open, now how about that?

I dunno about any Caltrans apps. I dunno about putting any app from the state of California on my phone. I don't trust the bastards!

Go with the Caltrans website instead: Caltrans Road Conditions site

Anyone know what the snowpack is in Kings Canyon/Sequoia? Did they have an average winter? Was thinking of heading into the back country out of Mineral King in second week of June but maybe too early?
