Black diamond price increases may 5th….

Anyone have any info regarding retailers bumping up their prices for black diamond equipment starting may 5th?

Meaning, will rei or other retailers immediately bump up their prices starting may 5th?  Rei is reportedly having all black diamond gear on sale for 25 percent off starting may 16…..but will the prices rei charges already have bumped 10-25 percent by that point?

I’m wondering the same, as Backcountry has a 20% coupon that expires today. I’m personally expecting REI and other retailers to bump up their prices pretty promptly (because it makes no sense not to), but I haven’t seen any official communication about it. 

looks like new prices are live. i had my eye on a Vapor helmet, that looks like it's gone up $20, about a 13% increase.

also looks like they're running a sale so that people are less focused on the higher MSRP

They typically run sales for Memorial Day, but it's also convenient timing for them to raise price then mask it with their sale. Bummer that prices are already increasing, and by more than 10%.. 

Meanwhile, Mad Rock is absorbing cost increases. Sadly, they don't make cams. 

I feel like the golden age of selling used gear is about to be upon us. 

It appears Wild Country hasn't increased prices on their products yet so Friends are now 15% cheaper than their C4 equivalents. Do with that information what you will...

Lol, absolutely not. 

BD prices went up 10% in the uk as well, if that's not opportunistic pricing idk what is.

The president announced a 90 day reduction of China tariffs from 145% to 30%. Every other tariff remains in force.

Pretty sure any of these price increases due to tariffs will become permanent, much like the covid ones were.
