Tc Pro bulge, no edging performance

I have been climbing in the Tc Pro for almost 1y, almost twice a week doing long multi pitch mainly granite slabs and some cracks, already re soled them once.

As shown in the picture there’s a noticeable bulge or protrusion at the toe, just above the shoe edge. This makes precise edging very difficult, the bulge makes contact with the wall before the edge of the shoe can engage with small features.

Since this is my first pair of tc (and in general semi flat/relaxed shoe) I’m trying to understand if this is normal. Since, in the shoes, my toes are flat and the nail is the hardest part of the toe the pressure point is above the shoe edge (where the bulge is), contrary to if the toes where crimped and the nail pointing down on the shoe edge like in an aggressive shoes. I have them in the same size as my miura that I use for sport climbing. Do I need to downsize more to have my toes a bit crimped or maybe the re soler did a shitty job or even maybe this is normal…

This is pretty normal to see, generally less common in La Sportiva as they have more structure to their shoes than most. If it wasn't there before the resole but there after, well, just put 2 and 2 together. It looks like maybe the resoler sanded at an angle undercutting the rand.

Looks like those are version twos. They have some weird idiosyncrasies, so maybe it's related to that?

Otherwise, this seems pretty normal to me. Especially with multiple resoles. As the shoe becomes less stiff it loses its ability to edge like it did when it was new, so most good resolers grind the edge at more of an undercutting angle.

I've had many dozens of pairs of TCs and find it useful to have both new and well-worn versions for different types of climbing. The new stiffer ones for more crisp edging and the well-worn ones for steep slab with subtle features.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
